Joseph Pastorek

Mr. Joe Pastorek is a JSOFSEA Instructor at Joint Special Operations University, United States Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. His responsibilities include mentoring, teaching, and developing curriculum for joint special operations senior enlisted leaders, conventional forces, Interagency, and International partners. Joe taught Enterprise Management (CEP-2) at JSOU before moving to JSOFSEA.

Mr. Pastorek retired from SOF Civil Affairs with nearly 21 years of service, primarily serving in various special operations commands. Over his career, Joe served in leadership positions in the 82nd Airborne Division, Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) Technical Escort Unit, U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), 1st Special Forces Command (A), and SOF Civil Affairs. He has multiple deployments including Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Djibouti, and Special Operations Command Forward for both North & West Africa and East Africa. 

Mr. Pastorek is a Nationally Certified Higher Education Professional in Leadership, Teaching, Online Teaching, Career Services, and Admissions. He holds a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Sector Leadership from North Carolina State University.
