Scott Simeral

Scott Simeral is Joint Special Operations University's (JSOU) Academic Chair to Naval Special Warfare. He has over 15 years of service in and out of uniform with Special Operations Forces (SOF), interagency, and conventional organizations.

Scott's education includes an MA in Defense and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, an MA in English Literature from the University of South Florida, and an MBA from the University of Florida. His professional military education includes the Joint Forces Staff College and JSOU. 

A native of Coronado, California, Scott is a proud Coronado High School alumnus. He was a third-generation military officer and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) with a Bachelor of Science in political science and a minor in Arabic language. While at USNA, he led the varsity water polo team to three NCAA Final Four appearances. Scott is an active volunteer in the community and an Eagle Scout.
