This article summarizes and frames an ongoing conversation about the role of Special Forces in future conflicts. It discusses multiple viewpoints from currently serving and retired members across the Special Forces Regiment. The author’s goal is to provide three considerations for the community: the importance of historical precedent, the need to cultivate open forums for internal debate, and the necessity of bridging generational perspectives.
