Description

Description: The purpose of this course is to provide students with a foundational level understanding of Sensitive Activities (SA) to a level that enables students to apply existing functional expertise to assist them in planning, managing, and/or enabling SA within the applicable authorities, permissions, processes, and oversight of their organization. Duration: Once accepted the student will have 30 days to complete the course. Location: The course is conducted as an asynchronous DL course via Joint Knowledge Online, SIPR (JKOS). You must sign up for a JKO account (https://jkodirect.jten.mil/Atlas2/page/login/Login.jsf). Then proceed to the Joint Special Operations University/Sensitive Activities site on the USSOCOM SIPR SharePoint portal and follow the instructions there. The site is located on SIPR -USSOCOM Portal Page to Joint Special Operations University to Sensitive Activities Courses. Click on the Special Operations Forces Sensitive Activities Foundations (SOS3220) picture and follow the instructions. Audience

The target audience for SA education is mid to senior level officers, NCOs, warrant officers, and civilians currently serving or who will serve at a SOF headquarters in a SA-related position. Audience includes both SOF and non-SOF personnel. The program primarily focuses on operational-level SA mission management but will also be available for staff from other DOD headquarters and the interagency.

Remarks

ATTENTION: You must include your SIPR email on your student profile to be registered for this course. When signing up for JKO and JKOS your primary or secondary affiliation must be USSOCOM. If you do not make this your primary or secondary affiliation we will not be able to find you and bring you into the SSAF course.

Materials

All required texts and materials will be available to the student on the JKOS or JSOU SA Page.

JSOU is currently an accredited educational institution accredited through the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET) - a national accrediting agency recognized by the Department of Education.
